Most Wolfhound passengers are keen to spend some time exploring more of Dublin.

Usually, people may take two full days either end of their Wolfhound adventure. A great way to see the city is on an open top bus tour. But here's the general list of things to do to get you started...

Culture Vultures

There really is so much to do in our small capital city whatever your interests include. If you're a culture vulture there are many fantastic museums but the two must sees are the National History Museum in Kildare St and the Chester Beatty Library. And of course the Book of Kells in Trinity College, where the long library is truly a wonder.

Absorb More

For those of you here to taste the mighty flavours of Dublin you'll want to take a trip to the Guinness Storehouse and perhaps the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery. There's also the small matter of over 1,000 pubs to 'research'.

Fair City

If you simply would like to relax before or after your Wolfhound adventure why not chill out in some of the many great parks in the city. St Stephens Green is a great place to people-watch, read Ulysses, feed the ducks or make new friends. There's the statue of Oscar Wilde in Merrion Square or you could meditate in the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square or see if you can find the secret walled garden behind the National Concert Hall.

If you'd like to go further afield from Dublin you may want to check out the lovely Howth peninsula with great walks and pubs. Or if you're a U2 fan you could see if you can find Bono's house in Dalkey. There are lots of local day trips as well, to passage tombs and hidden valleys. There are sea safaris, ghost buses and even helicopter excursions.
